All three previous volumes are now merging into a 200-terrain megapack for $12.99 (available soon on Gnome Treasure and Itch.io).
Those who already bought Volumes 1 and 2 will get a special price for Volume 3. I’ll work out the details nearer the time of release.
¶ There are actually 203 terrains in the pack!
Included in the megapack for your convenience are two duplicate folders: One for stairs and one for slopes.
The files have been slightly altered with an added ST_ is for stairs and SL_ is for slopes – what else would they be, right?! – to easily distinguish them from the main terrains.
And all $5-tier or above patrons (subscribers) on my Subscribestar account will receive a discount and a copy of the purchased megapack at least a week before its official release. Can’t argue with that!
The price for the entire megapack will be $12.99 (slightly more on Itch.io to offset their fees and PayPal’s fees), as opposed to around $15.99 for all three individual packs. Although Volume 3 was never "officially" released, it was scheduled for a $2.99 (ish) price tag.
Combining all three volumes is a win-win. You get a great deal and I get a complete assets pack released.
My new project for SMILE GAME BUILDER is entitled Confluction. This is a working title only at the moment, and it might change during the course of its development, but it’s kind of sticking!
Confluction is an obsolete word for "confluence", the "coming or flowing together, meeting, or gathering at one point".
Our destinies are fixed, but we forge our own paths. We might make choices that cause us to stray from the path of Destiny and deviate from its course, but we’ll always return to it at some point. And that’s the subtext for the game.
Many events in the game are loosely based on events in my own life; I’ve taken certain creative liberties with them. The choices you make in life do matter!
Most of the models are being custom-made for this game.
I’m aiming for high-texture models and assets, so this is what will probably take the longest time to create since I create many of them by hand.
The focus will be on most of the models first, then the game itself. And then most likely at that point, I’ll work on character animations as and when they’re needed. This will be the biggest challenge for me; I’m not good at animation.
So when it comes to the perfectionist in me, I’d want to make sure all animations are smooth and fit well with the game!
Patrons (subscribers) will start benefiting from additional perks, including tier-specific Discord roles/titles, and unique content, game dev insights, exclusive content, such as demos, and more.
If you would like to support me there, either as a patron or donator, it would be greatly appreciated. All moneys will go towards several goals and will give an extra incentive to continue with the project.
I will try and update this more regularly, with more regular content and some patron-only content soon!
What About Relationship Sim?
The project I was working on before Confluction is Relationship Sim.
However, I decided to continue on THIS project first, and then resume with "RSim" when the new SGB is officially released to take advantage of some of its new features! (At the time of this post, no, I can’t say what those new features are outside of what SmileBoom has already announced publicly!)
The bookshelf and its modular books models have been resized to match the size of the default bookshelf. The narrower models didn’t look or feel right.
This will be a part of the Hi-Tex Furniture Pack, which is scheduled for release later this year. It’s been set as Vol. 2 of the Furniture pack. However, I’m considering releasing this as Vol. 1 instead of Vol. 2, as I’d like to remake the chairs and tables, basically a few adjustments to size and form.

However, I’m considering releasing this as Vol. 1 instead of Vol. 2, as I’d like to remake the chairs and tables, basically a few adjustments to size and form.
I’m in the process of revising and restructuring all of my furniture models, including creating more modular content specifically for the bookcases and tables.
As part of a restructure of the Hi-Tex Assets Packs for Smile Game Builder, I decided to reorganize the contents of the assets packs. I also changed the numbering system; this is to improve integration when new volume packs are added.
Ground Terrain Pack Vol. 1
The Ground Terrain Pack Vol. 1 contains 81 terrains in total.
¶ The number of variations has been reduced as it was deemed that there were too many of them. Instead, I opted for less that can be expanded more in future packs.
House Pack Vol. 1
This pack contains a total of 287 assets. These are designed specifically as indoor walls.
¶ 001 through 004 each have 71 variations with different cross-beams and 005 are models designed to fit above doors.
Furniture Pack Vol. 1
At the moment, the Furniture Pack Vol. 1 contains 42 models, which may or may not be expanded later.
It has 3 types of chair (Mahogany, Oak and Pine), both normal and cushioned, in various poses (Normal, Overturned and Ruined). It also has matching tables (Square, Long and Round) and 3 paper decorations designed to fit on top of the tables (Plain, Symbol and Writing).
Furniture Pack Vol. 2
The furniture models in this pack are currently being revamped, but it will contain matching chairs from the Furniture Pack Vol. 1. These are designed to sit upside down on top of the tables (Single and Dual).
And it adds more paper table decorations (Bloodstained, Handprint and Bloody Handprint).
Although it currently has 15 models, I plan on adding more later.
Furniture Pack Vol. 3
In the Furniture Pack Vol. 3, the focus is on bookcases and pictures.
Bookcases match the previous packs (Mahogany, Oak and Pine) and the books are modular so can be stacked on the bookcase events in SGB, filling the entire shelf, partially filled shelves or having the top, middle or bottom shelves filled.
For the pictures, all artwork (except for the 2 maps) were created by my other half, Tina, who gave her permission to use them.
I plan on releasing these packs over the course of next year, starting with the Ground Terrain Pack Vol. 1 and the House Pack Vol. 1.
To be informed of their releases, and for other information regarding SGB and this site, be sure to subscribe/follow me on Twitter or Facebook.
These are some models I’ve been working on for Smile Game Builder as part of the new Hi-Tex Furniture Pack. There will be matching chairs and cabinets too. This will then be released as a full pack some time in the near future.
These will NOT be available on Itch.io (especially after what they did). Instead, I’m working on an online store.
